Glee star Chris Colfer has revealed if he’ll see Lea Michele in the Funny Girl revival.<\/p>\n

Back in the 2010s, Ryan Murphy’s acclaimed musical comedy ruled the entertainment sphere with its infectious covers and hilarious storylines.<\/p>\n

The series also made households names out Michele and Colfer \u2013 who portrayed Rachel Berry and Kurt Hummel, respectively.<\/p>\n

While the two talents played best friends on screen throughout the show’s six-season run, it appears their relationship in real life is a bit more complicated.<\/p>\n

During a recent interview on SiriusXM’s The Michelle Collins Show<\/a>, the Stranger Than Fiction author was asked if he wanted to join Collins to watch Michele in Funny Girl.<\/p>\n

“Oh, no, are you seeing Funny Girl? Oh. My day suddenly just got so full,” he responded.<\/p>\n

Colfer then tried to change the subject and admitted to seeing Six: The Musical, which he described as “amazing.”<\/p>\n

When asked a final time if he would see Funny Girl while in New York City, Colfer responded: “No, I can be triggered at home.”<\/p>\n

Colfer isn’t the only former Glee cast member to open up about Michele’s new high-profile role.<\/p>\n

During a September interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Kevin McHale \u2013\u00a0who played Artie on the show \u2013\u00a0was asked if he wished the Spring Awakening star well before her Broadway return.<\/p>\n

“I haven’t talked to her. We haven’t talked in quite a while. Jenna [Ushkowitz] and I talk every day, but I haven’t spoken to her in a long time,” he explained. “So I haven’t talked to her about Funny Girl.”<\/p>\n

Ushkowitz \u2013 who played Tina in the musical dramedy \u2013 echoed similar sentiments in her own interview with the publication.<\/p>\n

“If I’m in New York, I will go see it. Broadway is home for me, and I’m sad that I missed Jane,” she revealed.<\/p>\n

She also added that she didn’t reach out to Michele before her debut, stating: “I have not. I will leave it at that.”<\/p>\n

Back in July, producers for the critically acclaimed show announced that the New Year’s Eve star would replace Booksmart actress Beanie Feldstein in the role of Fanny Brice \u2013\u00a0which was initially made famous by music icon Barbra Streisand.<\/p>\n

However before landing the coveted role, the Scream Queens star was involved in quite a bit of controversy in 2020 after multiple Glee cast members accused her of having bad behaviour on set.<\/p>\n
