Lady Gaga<\/a> has released a music video masterpiece<\/em> with \u2018The Dead Dance\u2019.<\/p>\n

Released for the second season of Wednesday<\/em><\/a>, the disco banger was written by Gaga, Andrew Watt and Henry Walter \u2013 the same team behind the pop icon\u2019s acclaimed seventh studio album Mayhem<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve created a creature of the night, now I\u2019m haunting your air, your soul, your eyes,\u201d she sings on the spooky, soon-to-be Halloween classic, before repeatedly belting in the chorus: \u201cI\u2019ll keep on dancin\u2019 until I\u2019m dead.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the black-and-white video, helmed by Wednesday<\/em> creator and director Tim Burton, Gaga performs choreography on the Island of the Dolls in Xochimilco \u2014 one of Mexico\u2019s most infamous haunted sites, strewn with hundreds of dismembered dolls.<\/p>\n

Dressed as a doll herself, she\u2019s soon joined by a squad of dancers as the video bursts into colour.<\/p>\n

Gaga not only contributes music to the Netflix series with \u2018The Dead Dance\u2019 \u2014 which ties directly into the narrative \u2014 but also makes a special guest appearance in Wednesday<\/em> season two as Rosaline Rotwood, a \u201clegendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths\u201d with the title character.<\/p>\n

The Oscar winner\u2019s involvement with the comedy-horror series followed a TikTok edit of the first season\u2019s iconic dance sequence that featured her beloved Born This Way<\/em> track, \u2018Bloody Mary\u2019, turning it into a major sleeper hit.<\/p>\n

At Netflix\u2019s Tudum event in May, Gaga delivered a Wednesday<\/em>-themed performance of her worldwide smasher \u2018Abracadabra\u2019 and Mayhem<\/em> track \u2018Zombieboy\u2019, where she was accompanied by Jenna Ortega and Thing.<\/p>\n

Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams, said of Gaga at SXSW: She\u2019s the best, definitely one of the most talented individuals I\u2019ve ever worked with. It was just a really, really special environment to be there with her and Tim, two people that I respect and have been inspired by so much.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen just finding out that she\u2019s such a sweetheart and really kind and reserved, it\u2019s very strange. I love that you never know what to expect from her, but you can always expect kindness and generosity.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to rumours, Gaga is set to release an extended edition of Mayhem<\/em> on Friday (5 September), featuring ‘The Dead Dance’ along with two bonus tracks previously available only on exclusive CDs and vinyl: \u2018Can\u2019t Stop the High\u2019 and \u2018Kill for Love\u2019.<\/p>\n

Gaga appeared to confirm the rumours by updating her social media bios to read: \u201cMAYHEM<\/em>, INCLUDING \u2018THE DEAD DANCE\u2019, OUT NOW.\u201d<\/p>\n

The second half of Wednesday<\/em> season two, as well as \u2018The Dead Dance\u2019, is out now.<\/p>\n
