When Ronit (Weisz) returns home, following the death of her father, she seeks to rekindle her romance with her childhood friend, Esti (McAdams). Speaking to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/3am\/celebrity-news\/rachel-weisz-star-steamy-lesbian-12602354\">Mirror<\/a>, Weisz said that the scene was &#8220;beautiful&#8221;. She then added: &#8220;Usually there\u2019s little point to sex scenes, but in our story it\u2019s a love scene that\u2019s about freedom.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a separate interview with <a href=\"http:\/\/ew.com\/movies\/2018\/04\/24\/rachel-mcadams-rachel-weisz-sex-scene-disobedience\/?utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_campaign=entertainmentweekly&amp;utm_medium=social\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a> last month, McAdams said about the scene: &#8220;Often, you\u2019re trying to decide if it\u2019s gratuitous or not. But this scene felt so integral to the plot and moving the story forward.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The characters need this release to open up\u2026 There was energy to that scene that I haven\u2019t experienced in any other sex scenes [with men] in my career. There was camaraderie to it.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;We both felt safe and free\u2026.
